To design connections, detail, procure, fabricate, treat and erect structural steelwork to form a new 2 storey extension on top of an existing 3 storey office/retail building.

A full survey of the existing building was required to ascertain where the new structure could connect to the existing. The new structure was erected off stubs supported on the existing roof beams.

As all the erection was carried out from the existing roof access had to be thought about carefully. Extensive site works had to be carried out prior to erection commencing
